New Bozeman Offering: DreamWeaving Autumn 2024
Dreaming Back By Popular Demand <3
When I started paying attention to the content, emotional tone, and overall cadence of my dreams, my entire life changed.
If you’ve talked to me for more than 20 minutes in the past several years, it’s very likely that I’ve mentioned something about my fascination with dreams. Any dreams. My own dreams, dreams of other people, questions about if animals and plants dream. The science of dreams. The existential process of dreams.
Dreams might feel like a silly place to spend time and attention, but almost nothing in the past several years has brought me a deeper sense of meaning, joy, and curiosity.
As a sleep researcher, I cannot gush enough about how puzzling, mysterious, and amazingly beautiful the science around dreams are. As a nervous systems nerd, working with dreams has been a profound way to gently and curiously tap into working with the full spectrum of our body’s capacity to hold so many different states of being. As a human, my whole life starting shifting when I began paying attention to my dreams more intentionally.
Because of the expansive, and diverse nature of dreams—I’m not here to try to talk anyone else in to believing they should be interested in their dreams or to convince you that dreams are important1. However, I am here to invite you to an autumnal mini-series in around community dreamwork in Bozeman, Montana if you’re already on board.
DreamWeaving Is Shifting Formats From Last Year
Last winter my fabulous co-facilitator, Courtney Smith, and I hosted a 12-week series in downtown Bozeman where we facilitated interactive community dreamwork. An intimate group of about 6+ people showed up nearly every week for 3 months to spend 90 minutes focusing on nothing other than the creative images that bubbled up from our inner, nighttime worlds. Even though hosting a 12-week series felt surprisingly effortless and Courtney and I were excited to repeat the experience, unfortunately our schedules cannot accomodate such a long series this autumn. Wah-wah.
Instead, Courtney and I decided to consolidate DreamWeaving into a potent, 4-week, 90-minute series every Thursday evening running October 31 through November 21.
The dates will be hosted at THRIVE Co-working2 in the Summit Room on:
Thursday October 31
Thursday November 7
Thursday November 14
Thursday November 21
The series will be offered at $150 for the full 4-week series (plus additional in-between session support) or $40 for an individual session drop in.3
Some Great Things Stay The Same
The evening layout of DreamWeaving will stay relatively the same:
DreamWeaving will continue to be a 90-minute container
We’ll start with a guided somatic grounding for everyone to put down any stress from the day and an opportunity to land and play with dream images in full-presence4
After guiding the grounding, Courtney and I offer a brief lesson on a unique elements of tending to a relationship with our dreams or the dreams of others. We pull from a variety of different dream theories, community wisdoms, and sleep & dream science.
The bulk of our time is spent working actively with the dream. Courtney and I facilitate a clearly guided container intended to focus deeply on one dream from a dreamer. It typically looks like this:
Opening the dream space
The volunteering dreamer shares their dream twice in a row. First time exactly as they remember it, the second time a bit slower with as much description as they can.
The dream is open for the community asks clarifying questions about dream imagery5
We all have opportunity to enter the dreamscape with our own imagination, art, or creative practices6
The original dreamer shares their re-experiencing of the dream
The community shares their experience(s) from their own perspective
The original dreamer shares any insights, gratitudes, or curiosities as the final word of the dream
The community closes the dream space with a sense of gratitude, curiosity, and creativity.
Once the dream container is closed, Courtney and I often offer a handful of optional creative tools to continue playing with the dream imagery or any creative energy that got stirred up by the dream.
Last year’s cadence seemed juicy and left everyone feeling like they were walking on a cloud on their way home, so we thought why try to change a good thing?

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if this pricing feels restrictive or inaccessible to you but you’re genuinely interested in participating in this series. We are happy to work out something comfortable for you with all financial backgrounds—this price-point is based on similar offerings in the area and paying for space and consistency in facilitation.
Similarly, if you have the means to sponsor someone who is unable to pay, paying for the series at a sponsor rate of $250 allows us to fully sponsor someone who might otherwise not be able to participate or subsidize multiple people paying at a lower rate. Reach out to us via email dagnyrose@theartofrest.me for questions.
Although, as many of us know, full presence can’t always be achieved. We are facilitators who live and breathe the “come exactly as you are” motto. We welcome anyone who is having a hard day, who shows up with lots of extra energy, and anything in between. The important thing is that you’re honoring whatever authentic version of yourself you show up with.
We are careful not to comment, fix, or judge the imagery of anyone else’s dreams & facilitate to keep any vulnerable dream imagery in a space of agency for the dreamer
Courtney and I, again, facilitate this in a way that helps keep dreamers speaking from their own perspective, rather than commenting, judging, or advice-giving during this exploration
Some people are worried that they don’t remember their dreams enough to participate. We assure you this is NOT a problem! The creative practice of community dream tending is as interactive as you choose to make it, whether or not you’re the person sharing the dream. All levels of dreaming are welcome.
I can also accomodate those sessions being in-person if you’re in Missoula or Bozeman this autumn.
